We offer individual therapy in person, through Skype, Whatsapp Video or Phone Call depending on what the clients preference is.
We work with a wide variety of difficulties which impacts negatively on an individual’s well-being.
Thus we believe in working holistically and in conjunction with other health care professionals to ensure that each client receives the best possible treatment. We approach each client as a unique case as we acknowledge that no two people are the same and therefore no “one size fits all” approach to therapy exists.
All our psychologists have a preference for working from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic (CBT) paradigm but also adopt a wide array of therapeutic techniques to optimally benefit each client. CBT is a form of psychotherapy in which the client, together with the psychologist, identifies, solves and overcomes their difficulties by changing their patterns of thinking and responses, both behavioural and emotional.
Furthermore the therapeutic framework is based on the principle that our thoughts and reactions, both behavioural and emotional, are closely linked. Therefore it is believed that fostering a change in one dimension consequently causes change in other dimensions.
Therapeutic services are available for a wide variety of difficulties; ranging from everyday problems to a broad spectrum of clinical or mental health disorders which impact negatively on the individual’s psychological well-being.
Therapy is available in English or Afrikaans, to best accommodate the clients language during sessions..
